The league

The Nordic Historical Fencing League (NHFL) is the world’s first international HEMA tournament league. Born from a cooperation between HEMA tournament organizers from the four biggest Nordic countries, the NHFL is an initiative to rank fighters who compete in one or more of the involved clubs’ tournaments against each other.

Besides being a great way for historical fencers to add an extra dimension to their tournament participation, we hope that the NHFL will help grow the already bustling HEMA scene here in the Nordic countries.

It’s not a prerequisite to live and/or be born in one of the organizing countries to participate. The tournaments are open for everyone, and so is the league.
